A Weight Loss True Confession Tuesday
I Confess...that this is going to be a boring confessional because I am going to confess my weight loss plan sins from the week.
I Confess...that I just did my Jenny Craig menu for the upcoming week and I have 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 4 dinners leftover from this week that I DIDN'T EAT BECAUSE i ATE CRAP INSTEAD.
I Confess...that my goal was to stay on plan and eat 3 JC meals per day-fail!
I Confess...that my goal was to drown myself in water-fail! I have been drinking diet pop all week.
I Confess...that my goal was to exercise a MINIMUM of 2 times-fail! I did watch my new JC Dance DVD and hate it though-anyone want it? It's jazzercize and hip hop and I can't do it.
I Confess...that my plan was to lose at least a pound this week and I probably gained at least that much voiding my awesome loss from last week.
I Confess...that my new book "100 Days of Weight Loss" hit home on day 2 yesterday which I'll write about
at the end.
I Confess...that my fat ass needs kicked all over blogland and in real life.
I Confess...that I am totally dreading my weigh in at JC tomorrow.
So day 2 of the book really hit home for me. It talks about being interested in or committed to weight loss. Basically if you are interested you have slip ups and get sidetracked or off plans when you hit speed bumps (my words) and interest slips away quickly.
Commitment is 100% on plan all the time. So there would be no Doozie cookies at the mall or eating crap food instead of JC meals. When eating out (if I must) I would make healthy choices equivalent to my JC meals calorie and nutrition wise.
I've thus far been interested but as of yesterday I am committed 100%. Are you interested or committed to your weight loss plan?
Have a good day y'all!

A Weight Loss Motivation Shopping Trip
I went shopping yesterday and thought I'd show y'all what I bought to aid in my weight loss. First stop was Kohl's for some shoes:
Oh and while I was there, mini-me had to have this dress for the upcoming wedding:
Then to Barnes and Noble where I got the book "100 Days of Weight Loss" and a journal:
Then to Bed Bath & Beyond where I got the Biggest Loser Food Scale and a bunch of other stuff for the house:
Lastly a stop to the mall where sadly I got this:
So sadly I still have no willpower and even though I am freakin ecstatic over my 4 pound weight loss last week, I really really need the other stuff I bought. It's gonna be a great week! I just gotta work off the Doozie I ate.

It's BYOC-Saturday Edition
It's time for BYOC. Bring Your Own Crazy like your life depends on it straight from Drazil's Blog. ! We answer a few questions to get to know each other better and to give our blogging brains a break. Copy to your own blog and ENJOY!!
1. If you were a character on Friends, who would you be and why?
I guess Monica because I'm OCD though not as bad as her!
2. If you weren't in your current career what other career do you think you would have done?
Well my only skill is human resources *sigh* but I think I would have been a good teacher or lecturer of some kind because I'm pretty good at the training aspect of my job.
3. What did you want to be when you grew up when you were 6?
A cheerleader according to my school days book. (What a dork!)
4. Do you think everyone only has one soulmate or true love? Or are there multiple people for everyone?
I'd like to believe that everyone has a soulmate in life but i also believe that people can find love depending on their stage of life, circumstances, etc.
5. Repeat question. Summarize your week in real life and in blog land.
Real life has been fine and dandy. I'm still on cloud 9 from my whopping 4 lb weight loss and we didn't have softball tournaments this weekend so woo hoo!
Blogland has been slow this week.
Have a great weekend y'all!

Starting weight: 236.5
Last week's weight: 227.4

Total weight lost: -12.1
So I already posted about my 2nd amazing weigh in in a row so I'll skip all that. We have a laid back weekend-no marathon softball tournaments in the rain-just some shopping and a local festival on Saturday and church and errands on Sunday.

I Weighed In Anyway
Because my home scale said I was down like 5 pounds naked. My official weigh-in, fully dressed, in jeans even, is a loss of 4 pounds even!!! That deserves a few more !!!!!!!
I bought a new dance DVD and some cute New Balance shoes so my goals are the same again this week but I REALLY am going to work out at least twice. That's two times more than I did this week.
My Weekly goals (since they are working):
I bought a new dance DVD and some cute New Balance shoes so my goals are the same again this week but I REALLY am going to work out at least twice. That's two times more than I did this week.
My Weekly goals (since they are working):
- Eat Jenny meals 3 times per day
- Make smart choices if eating out
- Eat 1-2 vegetable servings per day depending on meals and volumizing so as not to throw off my daily calorie limit
- Limit to 1 fruit per day if I'm really hungry at or after breakfast mid-morning snack
- Do not eat "free foods"
- Eat my salad with dinner most days (to keep me filled up at night)
- Take calcium supplements so I can avoid a "milk" serving (goal is no milk servings)
- Do not go over 1250 calories even if it means cutting out a veggie, fruit or milk serving
- Do not eat Jenny Craig desserts, instead eat lower calorie and more filling 65 calorie pudding cup, 100 calorie Slim Fast bar, 100 calorie pack cookies or low-fat popcorn depending on my calorie total leading up to the late night snack when my cravings kick in
- Drown myself in water
- Exercise a minimum of 2 times for as long as I can stand it (taking Fibro pain into account) using either my new dance DVD or my Wii Gold's Gym Dance Workout

True Confession Tuesday
I Confess...That I was up all freaking night, ok from 1:15 to 7:00, with my puking her guts out mini-me.
I Confess...That I really appreciate my own Mom today. She stayed up with me quite a few nights while I puked my guts out and then went to work.
I Confess...That I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon and it felt so good.
I Confess...That I ate 5 Double Stuff Oreos at about 3 am. At least they were Double Stuff and so yummy.
I Confess...That I semi-slept through All My Children today and that I am really sad that this is the show's final week.
I Confess...That I have watched AMC on and off since I was about 16. That's a long damn time.
I Confess...That I drank Diet Pepsi all day because I was too lazy to make a pitcher of Crystal Light and I don't like plain water.
I Confess...That there is major drama going on my hubby's side with his two brothers wives. One claims the other stalked her in 2009, yes 2009, and the shit is hitting the fan now with a family wedding coming up in November.
I Confess...That my head will explode if I have to listen to one more phone call about it while trying to stay neutral.
I Confess...That I bought this dress for above wedding. It's actually pretty slimming even though everything makes me look like a cow.
I Confess...That because mini-me was sick this morning and I was a zombie, I missed my 8:00 am blood work and now must go tomorrow. I will miss weigh-in which is usually at 8:00 am on Wednesday.
I Confess...That I am not too hung up over it and hope I'll have another killer loss next week to show for it!
Have a good day y'all!

Hungry Monday
Ok that rhymes if you say it like my Dad's family from Kentucky (mundy). This time of year always makes me want warm comfort food and even though I'm eating Jenny Craig food primarily I always love a good crock pot recipe. So please share your yummy and healthy crock pot recipe with me. I'll love you forever.

Fat Ass Friday
Starting weight: 236.5
Last week's weight: 231.8
Current weight: 227.4
Weight +GAIN / -LOSS this week: -4.4
Total weight lost: -9.1
I skipped WI last week so this 4.4 is actually spread over 2 weeks but hell yeah I'll take it!
We have a crazy busy weekend of softball tournaments. 3 games tomorrow and 2 games on Sunday. Blah. That's 2 days of ball park food though I'm going to try to sneak in some water and snacks.
I'm batting zero on my exercise goal and haven't worked out at all yet this week. Maybe I'll have a lot of walking at the softball fields this weekend and can count that. I just seriously don't feel like dancing with the Wii and can't really tolerate anything else. I need to get into the groove (pun intended) and be like Nike and Just Do It.
I've also had a Pop Tart or 4 so I really need to limit the calories the rest of the week. Pop Tarts are the devil. Especially the more sprinkles they have on them.
Have a good weekend everyone and go link up with Brandy

Weigh-In Wednesday and a Woo-Hoo
Drum roll please.....I lost 4.4 lbs this week! It's actually the past 2 weeks because I skipped WI last week but I'll take it! In addition to my plan/goals, my doctor changed one of my medicines that was messing with my metabolism and put me on one that should help so I really feel like I am on my way and this just may work with Jenny Craig!
So I am going to leave my goals the same since they seem to be working:

9.11.01 We Will Never Forget
10 years ago today I watched in horror as first the fire from the 1st plane spread, then the 2nd plane hit, then the towers collapsed. I was the Human Resources Director for a large manufacturer and it was chaotic to say the least and that was in Ohio. The realization that the US was under attack was terrifying in those first hours. We struggled with what to do-close down production or continue to work. We decided to inform our employees of the events as we knew them and have televisions on throughout the plant but remain in operation.
Together we watched in horror as the rescue efforts took place, as people frantically tried to get home and out of NYC, as desperate people jumped to their death instead of the impending fact that there was no way to escape the ravaging fire. We listened to our President assure us that the US had taken all of the necessary security precautions.
Like the rest of the US we were in shock all that week and took part in the National Day of Prayer service as a plant.
I remember that following the tragedy of 9.11.01 people became friendlier, flags were abundant and church services were full.
I remember thinking that our world would never be the same.
I remember thinking "what kind of world have I brought my children into?"
My heart ached as the phone calls from frantic people to their loved ones to say their last goodbyes were released.
My heart ached as I watched the footage of the makeshift memorials and missing posters were placed.
I was scared that my son might get drafted in a few years when he turned 18 if the war was still going on.
Those were just a few of the things I was thinking and feeling so many miles away from the actual sites of the tragedies. I cannot comprehend what those that lost loved ones or lived through it must have felt and still feel. I just can't comprehend it. I know that I'll never forget it though.

Happy Friday and Bring Your Own Crazy
It's Friday. Mini-me has softball practice tonight followed by a team sleepover at the coach's house. Mini-me absolutely doesn't want to go to the sleepover because she doesn't know anyone yet. We're making her so she can get to know the other girls with the 'out' of texting us if it sucks and we'll pick her up (she has asthma and we'll use the excuse she doesn't feel well I guess). Am I making the right decision in making her go tonight? It's not too late to get her out of it. I don't have a shy bone in my body and have trouble putting myself in her shoes so all opinions welcome.
Let’s do BYOC – Bring Your Own Crazy live from Drazil's blog.. We answer 5 questions in an effort to get to know each other better and to give our blog brains a break. Copy to your own blog and ENJOY!
1. Do you drink coffee? Decaf or regular? Cold or hot? If not – what’s your go-to morning drink?
I don't drink coffee, never have. My go to drink is Diet Pepsi though I'm trying to wean from it.
2. What are your top six characteristics in a partner if you could hand pick them. And just for kicks – if you’re in a relationship – after you make the list of six – does the person you are with possess all five?
Loyal
Compassionate
Good Father
Strong Work Ethic
Accepts me as I am/Unconditional Love
Makes me Feel Secure
The hubby possesses all those qualities and more. The fact that he accepts me as I am-the crazy, the weight means more to me than anything.
3. I’m going to pick a person – not knowing if this person even exists in your life – and you try to describe this person in 5 short words or sentences:
Paternal grandfather
He died when I was a baby but my parents tell me that he adored me and would hold me and rock me for hours.
4. What’s your signature item? Color? Piece of clothing or jewelry? Accessory? You know – that one thing people know you will ALWAYS have on?
Definitely jewelry (I could have said the color black). My signature pieces are my engagement ring/wedding band and 2 anniversary bands (1 for 5 years and 1 for 15 years). I also inherited my maternal grandmother's ring and had it designed into a beautiful cocktail ring. It's definitely a conversation piece because of how big the diamond is (we're talking big honkin diamond). I wear 2-tone jewelry in my watch and earrings so that I can accessorize with gold or silver necklaces and bracelets.
5. Repeat question: Summarize your week in real life and in blog life.
This week started off with some retail therapy and the hubby's birthday for which we attended a huge festival a town over. As mentioned in previous blog posts I'm having a no good horrible TOM and am flaring with the Fibro so no exercise outside of the retail therapy and ate poorly at the festival. I skipped my Wednesday weigh-in because I was feeling bad and just could.not.deal.
Blogland has been good. I've gotten some great advice and suggestions and appreciate it very much.
Now copy the questions and answer them on your blog-make sure you let me know when you do so I can read your answers!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

Whiny Non-Weigh In Wednesday
I have a standing 8:00 a.m. appointment every Wednesday with my Jenny Craig Consultant. Today I just couldn't do it though. I feel like dog poop. I'm still experiencing the TOM from hell and my Fibro is making me weak and achy. I didn't 100% follow the plan this week and I didn't dance 4 times for 30 minutes. In fact, I didn't dance at all unless you count me doing the "I love love love my new Coach purse dance" after I bought it. My wonderful hubby is picking up my food order after work so I'll have my Jenny food.
I did break my no weighing at home rule and stepped on the scale this morning. It showed a loss of 1.3 lbs. Now before I let myself get too excited I need to accept that it is a different scale than my JC nemesis so it might not be accurate. But if it is, woo wee, next week should be a big loss as long as I stick to the plan and reach my goals.
My goals this week:
On another note, I am seriously considering the lap band depending on my results with my pal Jenny (Craig). I've come to the conclusion that if eating a 1200 calorie diet is not working I may need medical intervention due to my health issues. I'm scared of surgery but am finding comfort in reading the fabulous blogs of the BOOBs gals and how they are working life being banded. It's definitely not an easy quick fix, in fact it sometimes will suck (like being on a liquid diet after surgery and fills I believe and the actual fills themselves because needles freak me the frick out but I digress). I must lose this weight, period and I must find a way to do it. That's where I'm at mentally. Still hoping Jenny doesn't let me down but realizing that it might be out of "her" hands and a medical intervention is all that will work.
I'd love to hear more opinions from you fabulous BOOBs about your experiences and I'd love support for my continuing journey with Jenny Craig because it's the preferred method of weight loss for me now. I appreciate all of your comments!

My goals this week:
- Eat Jenny meals 3 times per day
- Eat 1-2 vegetable servings per day depending on meals and volumizing
- Limit to 1 fruit per day if I'm really hungry at or after breakfast mid-morning snack
- Do not eat "free foods"
- Eat my salad with dinner most days (to keep me filled up at night)
- Limit to 1 "milk" serving per day
- Do not go over 1250 calories even if it means cutting out a veggie, fruit or milk serving
- Exercise a minimum of 4 times for as long as I can stand it (taking Fibro pain into account)

True Confession Tuesday
It's Tuesday and that means it's time to make our confessions for the previous week brought to you by The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.
Weight-Loss Confessions:
I Confess...that I didn't meet any of my goals that I posted last week following weigh-in.
I Confess...that I didn't exercise even one time this week. I did, however, walk a whole lot while shopping 2 different days and count that as exercise.
I Confess...that even though I was diagnosed as being in perimenopause I am having a horrible and unexpected TOM. WTH? I went 8 months with no TOM and now have had 2 months in a row and they are horrible.
I Confess...that because of TOM I have eaten like crap and have felt awful and suspect I will post another gain when I weigh-in tomorrow morning.
I Confess...that with last week's traveling and this week's TOM I will only have 4 weeks left with Jenny Craig to totally commit, reach my goals posted last week and actually see a loss on the scale.
I Confess...that if I do not lose a decent amount of weight at the end of this 6-weeks (which is 4 weeks left now) I will seriously research getting a lap band.
Non Weight-Loss Confessions:
I Confess...that even though yesterday was hubby's birthday that I bought myself a present
I Confess...that I went to a festival and found a matching knock-off wallet for $20.00 and had to have it. It's a secret that ot's a knock-off.
I Confess...that I volunteered to help with mini-me's school magazine sales fundraiser this morning and really wish that I had not.
I Confess...that people really are dumb and can't follow simple instructions for filling out a magazine order form.
I Confess...that after I finish my confessions I will take a nap until I need to get up and ready to pick mini-me up at school.
I Confess...that instead of napping I should take care of the dishes and laundry.
I confess...that mini-me is now wearing a size 8 shoe which happens to be my size which we found out when shopping yesterday. This means I am going to borrow her super cute shoes whether she likes it or not.
I Confess...that this week's confessions are really boring and that's just the kind of mood I'm freakin' in.
Have a fantastic day, everyone!

It's BYOC (Bring Your Own Crazy)
From Drazil's Blog it's BYOC...
BYOC – Bring Your Own Crazy….5 little questions we ask to get to know each other better and to give our blogging brains a break. Copy and paste to your own blog and enjoy!
1. If you have a camera and have the time – take the contents of your purse out – and take a picture of said contents and explain them. If you don’t have time or a camera – please describe the contents of your purse.
Pouch with makeup type stuff (lip gloss, lip stick, concealer, blush, blush brush, tissues, reading glasses, Tic Tacs); Organizer with cash, credit/debit cards, insurance cards, check books, pens, business cards, store perk cards; small journal for notes, directions, etc; cell phone; calendar for 2010-2012; Jenny Craig booklet and menus.
2. Repeat question: I’m going to pick a person not knowing if you have a relationship with this person or if the person even exists and you try to describe the person in 5 words or short sentences.
• Your kindergarten teacher
Kind
Had all of my siblings
Warm
Organized
Almost Retired at the time
3. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure / trashy TV show you like to watch?
Right now that would be Dance Moms (OMG have you seen this train wreck? Those moms are beyond crazy) and Bachelor Pad (also a train wreck). Also, I have watched General Hospital, One Life to Live, All My Children and The Young & the Restless since high school.
4. A lot of you told me about your first day of school experiences when I posted about how my 5 year old going to kindergarten wasn’t causing me too much heartache. So now I’m officially asking – tell me about one of your first day of school experiences that sticks out in your mind the most. Who put you on the bus? Did you ride the bus? Did your parents take pics? Did they walk you into school? Drive you there? Cook you breakfast?
I remember walking to school in kindergarten and I made my Mom and little sister walk a block behind me. My Mom made us breakfast every day through high school. I walked in elementary school, then rode my bike, then took the bus in middle school but once I hit high school I refused to ride the bus and caught a ride with older neighbors until I got my license.
It's a tradition to take 1st day of school pictures of my kids. They hate it but they get their picture no matter what. My now college boy actually appreciated this tradition when he got his scrapbook at his graduation party and had all of them to compare. I admit to tearing up EVERY year when the kids head off to school. I want a do over and have them back to when they were little.
5. Repeat question: Summarize your week in real life and in blog land.
This week has been uneventful. Other than softball practices and lessons we haven't had anything going on. College boy is on break and went to visit friends and family in Ohio so the house has been more quiet than usual.
I love blogland. I have a few more followers and have been showing blog love to those I follow. Almost everyone is excited for the newness that September brings-back to school, fall on the way, new diet and fitness goals.
I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. Don't forget to comment and link back to your BYOC!
